Happy Halloween!
We've been pretty busy lately...packing, pumpkin-ing, playing...all that good stuff. We close on the new house November 15th. It's going to be a busy month.

It's been a busy couple of weeks around our house. We have been doing a lot of work around the yard (like making a new one), planting shrubs, going to parades, birthday parties, fire-stations, lakes, ponds, mini-golf, etc... There's a bunch of pictures here. Tyler is riding his bike now with no training wheels, all by himself (as he'll proudly tell you). He's a starting, riding, cornering, stopping, machine... We're very proud of him. The problem is, our "walks" are now "jogs" because we can't keep up with him. Anna is not far behind him (okay, she's kind of slow going) on her tricycle.

Tyler, The Lyrical Master

Ever wonder what goes on in the mind of a 4 year old? Well that makes 2 of us. And after this video, you'll wonder even more (and probably have a headache). What we have here is a video of Tyler "freestyling" with his keyboard and microphone. I'm warning you, it is not a showcase of musical talent by any means. I am not responsible for anything that comes out of his mouth (Actually, in an indirect way, I'm probably responsible for at least 50% of it), but there is no coaching or anything going on here...just Tyler...wanting to make a "video" for Daddy while I was at work one day.

It's long... don't feel pressured to watch it in it's entirety...in fact, I would bet my lunch money that you can't sit through the whole thing, but do make sure your volume is turned up so you can attempt to understand, oh, say, 10% of what he's saying.

Happy New Year

Yes, Christmas was great.. both kids were WAY into the presents and excitement... Thank you everybody for all of the warm wishes, great cards, thoughtful gifts, etc... I took the day off today because work is going to get crazy for a while starting this weekend when I head to Fishkill, NY for a week or so. We took the kids mini-golfing this morning, and Tyler of course loved it. He hit his very first putt on the practice green from about 4 feet...first try, and did really well for his first time. Of course he followed his ball every time, picked it up to hit again, swung way too hard a few times, but all in all he did great and we had a ton of fun. Anna was content just carrying the putter and her purple ball around.. occasionally she would roll it by hand or put it down and kick it... but really could care less about hitting it with the putter. I got a hole in one on the first hole...after that I don't think I finished a hole without Anna retrieving my ball once or twice or Tyler hitting it for me (He thought he was doing us favors..."Mommy, I put the ball in the hole for you"... It was cute. No crowd, so no worries.
