You may have noticed some strange posts over the past week... I'm experimenting with my new phone...it's really easy to send one, or just a few pictures to the blog instantly, but not as straight forward to upload a whole album to Picasa and share that, so you may feel like you saw some of these pictures as I was playing around, but these are new ones taken with the normal camera.

Anyhow, we'll see how it goes moving forward.

I hope you all had a great Easter. We had fun in New Hampshire!

Spring is almost here. I think we've taken our last ski run for the year...they're down to a single lift and a few trails, so we're probably not going to bother this weekend. Now we're into the long mud season in Vermont... hopefully it won't last long!

Happy New Year!

We rang in 2013 with some skiing ...it was kind of nice, because it seems nobody else did. No crowds or lines anywhere, but it was COLD, so kind of cut the day short. Back to work for me tomorrow, it's been a nice vacation. Tyler is back to school on Thursday, and Anna on Friday. Darn reality, always comes back.

Christmas Past

10 years ago I got my first digital camera for Christmas. Boy does the time fly. A quick check of "My Pictures" folder says I have accumulated over 55 thousand photos since then! Absurd, I know. I will spare you the trip down memory lane of my favorites over the past 10 years, but I did find it interesting to look back at the FIRST pictures I took with the 2 megapixel Kodak.

Well we're back from New York City. It was a great time...amazing in fact. We all had fun. The kids were awesome, and did great with flying and walking and braving the city crowds. We crammed a LOT in to our four days there, as you'll see in the pictures...

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did, and now it's on to Christmas! The kids don't have much for lists this year for Santa... at least not much that he is actually going to bring them (iPads and puppy's !?). We're going to New York City in a couple weeks to see the holiday sights, so they're excited for that, as are Katie and I. First time flying for the kids, so it should be fun! I'll let you know...

In the mean time, I was looking back at some old Christmas pictures and videos, man do I feel old, but I couldn't help but post the link to this video from 3 years ago...time sure flies, and these kids grow up fast! Knowing Tyler now, this video just cracks me up: (ironically, a radio control monster truck is still on his list this year)....

Wow! Summer is over. I can't believe it. Tyler started first grade today, and Anna's first day back at Shelburne Nursery School is Friday. Time sure flies by. We've been busy has heck these past few weeks around the house and getting ready for school and working and all that good stuff. I haven't been able to update this lately because our computer has been under a drop cloth in a heap for a few weeks. We did a fairly major renovation of our downstairs over the past few weeks...Since we bought the house we wanted to put wood floor down in the living room, and we never cared much for the tile (style, or amount of it)...so we finally bit the bullet...new floor, baseboards, hearth, door casings, window casings, counter top and appliances. I took a few days off, and worked a handful of half days, and Katie was a machine all the while. We included the kids where safety permitted, but a lot of it was too noisy for their liking. Fortunately, they get along good and had fun together while we did a lot. They were awesome actually. We also had some help from friends and relatives, which was invaluable. I can not thank Al, Jacob, Paul and Greg enough for their time, help and tools I borrowed :-) The demolition took one week to get the old tile/oak/carpet out of the downstairs, and then a week to get the wood floor down, then another week for the trim and hooking up new appliances and whatnot. Having no kitchen for nearly three weeks was tough, but we're really happy with how it all came out.

This is a big post... we've been super busy the past month, wrapping up school, t-ball, and kicking off summer with some great adventures. The weather has been awesome, and work is getting back to "normal" for me, so things are starting to settle down for a nice summer "break". Enjoy the pictures and a few videos thrown in here to see what we've been up to with the kids. I hope everyone is well! We are. -Chris
